Juice clarification disc centrifuge
The principle of using a disc centrifuge for juice clarification is mainly based on the separation of density differences under the action of centrifugal force. the core component of a disc centrifuge is a rotating drum composed of a group of conical discs. When juice is fed into the rotating drum of the centrifuge, the rotating drum will generate a strong centrifugal force when rotating at high speed. Under the action of centrifugal force, different components in the juice will have different trajectories due to density differences, thus achieving separation.

Structure and Principle

1.Separation of solid particles and liquid:
Solid impurities in juice, such as pulp fibers, pectin particles, sediment, etc., usually have a higher density than the juice itself. Under the action of centrifugal force, these solid particles will be quickly thrown to the edge of the rotating drum, move along the lower surface of the disc to the large-diameter end of the rotating drum, and accumulate there to form a sediment layer. While the clarified juice with a relatively lower density will flow to the central area of the rotating drum.
2.Stratification of liquids with different densities:
In addition to solid impurities, there may also be some liquid components in juice with different densities from the main body of juice, such as oil. These components will also be separated from the main body of juice under the action of centrifugal force. Liquid components with a higher density will move towards the edge of the rotating drum, while juice with a lower density will be close to the center of the rotating drum, thus achieving stratification of liquids with different densities.
3.The role of discs:
Discs play a crucial role in the centrifuge. Their special conical structure and closely arranged manner increase the separation area and shorten the sedimentation distance of particles. When juice flows between the discs, solid particles and liquid components with different densities need to move in the narrow gaps between the discs. This makes them more easily affected by centrifugal force and separated. At the same time, the smooth surface of the discs can guide the flow direction of solid particles and liquid, making the separation process more efficient and orderly.
4.Discharge of clarified juice
After centrifugal separation, the clarified juice will flow to the central area of the rotating drum and be discharged from the centrifuge through the liquid outlet located at the center of the rotating drum. While the solid sediment accumulated at the edge of the rotating drum and the heavy-phase liquid after stratification can be discharged through a special slag discharge port, thus obtaining clarified juice.
Through this centrifugal separation principle of the disc centrifuge, solid impurities and other components with different densities in juice can be effectively removed, improving the clarity and quality of juice, making it more clear and transparent, with a purer taste. At the same time, it also extends the shelf life of juice.

1.Orange juice: Orange juice contains impurities such as pulp fibers and pectin. Using a disc centrifuge can quickly and effectively remove these impurities, making orange juice clearer and more transparent, and improving its appearance quality and taste. At the same time, by removing impurities, the risk of deterioration caused by impurities during the storage of orange juice can be reduced and the shelf life can be extended.
2.Apple juice: During the processing of apple juice, some pulp particles and starch and other substances may remain.
